How to reach  Kadayam

A heading separator design.
By Air

Kadayam does not have its own airport. The most convenient way to reach by air is to fly to one of the two nearest airports and then complete the journey by road (taxi or bus).

Tuticorin Airport (TCR):

  • Distance: Approximately 100 km from Kadayam.
  • Details: This is the closest domestic airport. After landing, you can hire a taxi for a direct trip to Kadayam, which typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV):

  • Distance: Approximately 125 km from Kadayam.
  • Details: This airport offers excellent connectivity with major domestic and international cities. From the airport, a taxi ride to Kadayam will take about 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
By Train

Train travel is a highly convenient option as Kadayam has its own railway station.

  • Station: Kadayam Railway Station (Station Code: KZY).
  • Connectivity: The station is well-connected by local and passenger trains to the two major railway junctions in the region: Tenkasi Junction (TSI) and Tirunelveli Junction (TEN).
  • Travel Advice: For travelers coming from distant cities, it is best to book a train to either Tirunelveli or Tenkasi. From there, you can easily find a connecting passenger train or a bus to reach Kadayam.
By Bus

Kadayam is well-serviced by a reliable network of government and private buses, making it an economical and accessible mode of transport.

  • Key Hubs: Frequent and regular bus services are available from the main bus terminals in Tenkasi and Tirunelveli.
  • Route Information: The bus routes from these cities often pass through important towns like Ambasamudram and Mukkoodal, ensuring consistent connectivity throughout the day.
  • Local Travel: Buses are the primary mode of transport for connecting Kadayam with nearby villages and towns, making it easy to explore the surrounding region.
