India, or Bharata, is a land of rich culture, heritage, and an abundance of ancient texts, scriptures, and knowledge systems. This is the land where the Vedic Adhyatma originated. But, we live in an age and time where people’s interest in Indian culture and heritage is slowly dwindling. This fact holds true for our Vedas, Shastras, and their branches, which are slowly fading into oblivion.

There is a compelling need to revive the fading interest and inspire people to protect, preserve, study Sanskrit and our Vedas. And this pressing scenario has prompted the establishment of Sri Brahma Vidya Gurukulam, a charitable institution at Kadayam, Tenkasi district

At our gurukulam, our goal is to enlighten the young Brahmacharis with the profound wisdom of our rich Vedic scriptures. We strive to imbibe in them the richness of our ancient knowledge system and equip them with adequate resources to carry forward this legacy. We aim to usher in an era of peace, prosperity, and contentment worldwide by invoking the devatas and their blessings.

Our Shastras emphasise that following the adhyayana of the Vedas is necessary for any karma performed by a Indians to achieve its full potential. Only by mastering Shaastra Gnana can one accurately understand the spirit of the Karmas. The Sri Brahma Vidya Gurukulam offers many courses for those who wish to study the Vedas, Shastras and its branches. Our Gurukulam teaches:

  • Krishna Yujur Veda to shisyas of different age groups.
  • Vedic literature for elderly people who want to learn even after their retirement.
  • School studies for Vidyarthis, staffed by a teacher.
  • Higher school subjects with private teachers.

We also conduct year-end examinations by external agencies like Veda Rakshna Trust with a specific syllabus for which qualified examiners visit our Gurukulam from the agency. We conduct all examinations according to schedule and send the grades to our Gurukulam, where a record is maintained for each individual. To help Vidhyarthis improve their talents, we encourage them to participate in competitions conducted by other centres.

The Vedas are India’s pride and wealth. It is treasured by the Indians, who constitute a section of Indian society. The entire credit for classifying the Vedas goes to Veda Vyasa, one of the greatest sages of our nation. For generations, the Indians have preserved the Vedas with tremendous hardships.

Every single aspect of our Sanatana Dharma stems from our Vedas- from the religious to the aesthetic to the spiritual. The best way to learn the Vedas is to understand them traditionally with the direct guidance of a Guru. Our Vidyarthis undergo rigorous training under our Gurus to prepare themselves to serve as torch bearers of our tradition and guide our society in this marga.
